WHY WOULD YOU RACE THIS HORSE?
Lot 384 is a lovely, athletic filly by Redoute’s Choice’s best son at stud, The Autumn Sun.
With 11 of his 15 stakes performers to date being fillies it was a no brainer to go after this girl. He’s already had three Group 1 winners with Autumn Angel, Coco Sun and Vibrant Sun, and will be represented by the highly promising filly, Autumn Glow, during the Winter Carnival.
This filly has a real get-up and go attitude, and walks out with plenty of purpose. The Autumn Sun has had a Group winning 2YO but generally they improve in their three-year-old season which is what we expect from this filly.
Her dam, Little Stevie, was a prolific seven-time winner with numerous in town, and she is a half-sister to the stakes placed, Tell Me.
This filly’s damsire, Dream Ahead, has been a solid broodmare sire in Australasia with 5 stakes performers, featuring Group 1 placed and Group 2 winner Lightsaber.
At $160,000, this filly looks terrific value for a stallion that has all the credentials to become a champion in years to come.
