WHY WOULD YOU RACE THIS HORSE?
By the world’s best sire, from a young Group 1 Thousand Guineas winner and a three-quarter brother to two Group horses, the Frankel x Amicus colt is the type of horse that we often only get to dream about when the yearling sales come around. When he presented at the Magic Millions weanling sale we saw an opportunity to secure him for the stable six months earlier than most of our purchases and were thrilled when the gavel came down in our favour.
In addition to her Thousand Guineas win, Amicus was also victorious at Group level on three other occasions and has had a stellar start to her breeding career producing two Group horses from her first two foals to race. Both Okita Sushi and Chief Little Rock are three-quarter relations to our colt being by Galileo and the latter is 4-1 second favourite for a Group 3 race at the Curragh. Amicus’s sire, Fastnet Rock is The Galileo x Fastnet Rock cross is the most potent in global racing.
