WHY WOULD YOU RACE THIS HORSE?

Lucky Vega is a first season stallion that Jim and I were particularly taken with when we saw him at the Yulong stallion parade last year. He was a very fast horse that won a Group 1 in his 2yo year and backed it up at the highest level at 3.

The Lope De Vega sire line his worked very well in Australia, not least through the success of our own Group 1 winning stable star, Arapaho. The dam of this colt is by Street Cry who is the sire of the mighty Winx, but has also left his mark as a broodmare sire with 24 individual Group 1 winners from his daughters including Golden Slipper winner Farnan, Blue Diamond winners Lyre and Daumier and Hong Kong superstar Romantic Warrior.

Lot 367 is a well-grown, mature type that will make into a lovely sprinter-miler. I can see him targeting the Autumn 2yo races and there will be a suite of high prizemoney races for him at three if he can make the grade.
